From a sign at The Bridge Community Church Des Plaines Campus.
"1927 Bible Faith Church hosts its first service in Des Plaines.
1959 Name changes to Des Plaines Bible Church.
2008 Name changes to The Bridge Community Church and our Spanish Campus launches one year later.
2018 The Bridge Randhurst Campus launches after merging with Prospect Christian Church.
2019 The Bridge merges with Northside Gospel Center and Camp Awana, and our Portage Park Campus launches.

TODAY Because of your generosity, thousands gather across four locations every weekend. What does God have in store for The Bridge? Only God know. But we've been handed the baton. We're not doing anything new. It's just our turn now."

2026(03/09) facebook comment from Scott J. Ziegler(pastor of The Bridge Community Church) listing pastors of
Bible Faith Church/Des Plaines Bible Church
"Walter Faust was the founding pastor in 1927, and they called the church Bible Faith Church, then.
Following Pastors were: William Tecklenburg (1945-1957),
Craig Massey (1958-1976), when it was renamed Des Plaines Bible Church.
Jack MacArthur (1977-1979),
Harold Longnecker (1979-1986),
Louis Barbieri (1987-1995),
Steve Lyon (1996-2006).
I came in 2007. We renovated the building and changed the name to The Bridge in 2009.
Since, we've added 4 campuses: Randhurst, Spanish, Portage Park, and North Shore.
3 names, 8 lead pastors, same mission, same church."
